I know I’m not a spring chick or anything, but I seriously thought that student-teaching would not throw for too big of a loop. I was W-R-O-N-G! Yesterday was my first day and it just about killed me! I was so exhausted that I was falling asleep at the table during dinner. It’s not that the day was bad, but just long. And maybe a little nerve-racking seeing as I had never been in this school before nor met the kids. Today was mucho better. I had things to do, knew all the kids’ names (a whopping 15) and even had a good laugh with the other grade level teachers (not a my expense).
Tonight I even have a little energy to knit! I patterned and started the second fingerless glove, but have not made it passed the cabling and ribbing yet. Definitely won’t get that far tonight, but will probably finish it this weekend. We have an SCA event on Saturday at which I plan to sit my happy butt in a nice chair and take a load off, Fanny. That is the plan, but we all know about the best laid plans. I will end up running around, making sure all is running smoothly. I will also be handed the position of seneschal. If you don’t have any clue, let me tell somethin’ to you…I am fixin’ to be responsible for herding cats. CEO of a cathouse. Puttin’ out fires, makin’ sure everybody’s doin’ what they’s supposed to be doin’. While I’m in grad school, student-teaching, with two kids, dealing with Girl Scout cookie orders, and Bryce’s band stuff, and I’m sure there is something else. Oh…the Professor is working two jobs and looking for a third. Ain’t that a hoot! Maybe there’s a reason I feel so OLD.

Good lord- you’re making ME feel old! LOL
If you were OLD, you’d have dropped to the floor and had a heart attack in the midst of all that.
